Buddha lebt HierUndJetzt.
Jeden morgen legt er seine Mantelrobe an,
nimmt seine Schale und geht in die Stadt.
Dort schreitet er von Haus zu Haus und
bettelt um Gaben und Nahrung.
Danach kehrt er zurück.
Er legt seine Mantelrobe ab,
isst sein Mahl, stellt die Schale beiseite,
wäscht seine Füße, richtet sein Kissen.
Er setzt sich mit verschränkten Beinen
aufrecht sitzend nieder. Seine Aufmerksamkeit
lenkt er achtsam ins Leere.
Mit allen Buddhas und Bodhisattvas
der Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft
verweilt er so im HierUndJetzt.

Buddha is alive.
Buddha lives HereAndNow.
Every morning he puts on his robe,
takes his bowl and walks into the town.
There he walks from house to house and
begs for gifts and food.
Afterwards he returns.
He takes off his robe,
eats his meal, puts the bowl aside,
washes his feet, adjusts his pillow.
With crossed legs he sits down -
sitting upright. Mindfully he directs
his attention to the emptiNess.
With all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas
of the past, present and future
he dwells in the HereAndNow.
